MINORITY BUSINESS ACCELERATOR PROGRAM

The Minority Business Accelerator (MBA) program was born from the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee in order to advance equity amongst local minority owned businesses in Troup County.

In it’s inaugural year, the program is seeking minority owned businesses to participate in a 4-part educational program, as well as additional educational and networking events put on by the chamber.

The Minority Business Accelerator supports high-potential minority-owned businesses by providing targeted training, access to 1-1 sessions with small business coaches, as well as a Chamber membership and marketing package. Participants will leave the program with a strategic plan to guide their development.

OUR WHY

The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce Minority Business Accelerator Program seeks to accelerate the development of high potential minority businesses in Troup County and to strengthen and expand the regional minority entrepreneurial community. We want to help these businesses identify and overcome barriers, which often include limited access to capital, key decision makers, and entrepreneurship education.

The inaugural cohort will begin in 2023. Applications for the program will be accepted in late 2022 and chosen participants will be announced at the chamber annual gala in January 2023.

Applicants for the program should:

  • Have been in business between 3 months and 5 years (Business license required to participate)
  • Be a for profit business
  • Have less than 30 employees
