Leadership Troup is a ten-month program that includes leadership training, as well as sessions focused on local government, healthcare, education, social issues, tourism, and more.

The program was created by Bill and Helen Rice in 1991 and modeled after the state-wide Leadership Georgia program.

“We found Leadership Georgia to be most informative. We visited towns across the state and learned about education, government, health care, community service and other issues,” Helen Rice recalled.

Over 700 individuals have completed the Leadership Troup program.

Nominations for the 2024 class will open later this year.
